Alterations in Serum Myostatin Levels via Swimming Exercise in High Fructose Mediated Metabolic Syndrome Model

چکیده

Aims: Metabolic syndrome is a table of abdominal diseases characterized by insulin resistance, obesity, dyslipidemia, and hypertension, it serious risk factor for the development cardiovascular diseases. The purpose this study was to understand how metabolic causes change in myostatin levels, if swimming exercise have protective therapeutic effects fructose mediated model regulating serum level.
Methodology: A total 21 Sprague Dawley male rats were used study. induced adding 30% into drinking water 5 weeks (6-8 old, weighing 200-250 g) randomly divided 3 groups as 7 each cage. Swimming exercises applied three days week six weeks. On days, exercised 20 minutes day. Blood collected from all animals aprotinin tubes be necessary analysis with decapitation. Serum samples obtained after centrifugation kept at -80 ℃ until assay performed. In samples, measured ELISA method.
Results: There statistically significant difference resulting G2, which had highest value glucose triglyceride levels between groups. G2 lowest HDL levels. Myostatin significantly higher compared other groups.
Conclusion: Moderate are preventing chronic such diabetes, obesity syndrome. line these results, can said that practice regulates impaired fasting glucose, increased TG decreased downregulates

Wild pistachio (Pistacia atlantica mutica) oil improve metabolic syndrome features in rats with high fructose ingestion

Objective(s): Metabolic syndrome is a multiplex risk factor for diabetes and cardiovascular disease. Since some dietary fats such as mono-unsaturated fatty acids (MUFA) modify metabolic syndrome components the aim of the present study was to evaluate  the preventive effects of mixture, kernel and hull oils of wild pistachio (WP) (Pistacia atlantica mutica) as good sources of MUFA on different f...

Serum Myostatin Is Reduced in Individuals with Metabolic Syndrome

AIMS Myostatin is a negative regulator of skeletal muscle mass and may also modulate energy metabolism secondarily. We aim to investigate the relationship between serum myostatin and the metabolic variables in diabetic (DM) and non-diabetic subjects. MATERIALS AND METHODS A cross-sectional study recruiting 246 consecutive DM patients and 82 age- and gender-matched non-diabetic individuals at ...

Comparison of High and Moderate Intensity Aerobic Exercise on Serum Adipulin Levels and Some Indicators of Metabolic Syndrome in Obese Women

Background: Adipulin is a hormone secretd by fat cells that acts as a metabolic regulator with anti-inflammatory properties and is reduced through obesity, diabetes and inflammation. Therefore, the aim of this study was to compare the effect of high and moderate intensity aerobic exercise on serum adipolin levels and some indicators of metabolic syndrome in obese women. Methods: In this quasi-...

Diet-induced metabolic syndrome model in rats

Background & Objective: Risk for heart disease, diabetes, and stroke increases with the number of the metabolic risk factors. In general, a person who has the metabolic syndrome is twice as likely to develop heart disease and five times as likely to develop diabetes as someone who does not have the metabolic syndrome. High-calorie-diet rodent models have contributed significantly to the analysi...

Protective effect of curcumin in fructose-induced metabolic syndrome and in streptozotocin-induced diabetes in rats

Objective: The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of pre-treatment with curcumin on metabolic changes induced by two different pathophysiological mechanisms in rats (fructose diet and streptozotocin (STZ)-induced diabetes mellitus). Materials and Methods: Five groups with 10 rats per group were investigated: control group (healthy rats), fructose diet groups without any pre-treatme...
